Cleaning of Pulverised Fuel Bins
As part of the cement manufacturing process, pulverised fuel is blown in to the kiln vessel as a source of heat. Raw coal is ground in a vertical spindle mill until the correct finess is achieved, the pulverised fuel is then transported for storage inside 2 off 30 tonne stainless steel silos.
Periodically the storage silos need to be cleaned out due to a build up of material adhering to the sides of the vessel. This task is always outsourced due to the requirement of specialist equipment and lack of internal capabilities. Our preferred contractor for this type of work has been Nash Industrial Services as we have always found that this company have the ability to work in strict accordance with our rules. In addition to this Nash Industrial Services have a good appreciation for the health and safety aspect associated with the cleaning of pulverised fuel silos – understanding the necessity to always use intrinsically safe equipment.
Each time the Nash Industrial Services have carried out the task of clearing the pulverised fuel silos, they have completed the work efficiently and in a satisfactory manner.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Nash Industrial Services for carrying out work of this nature.
